Homework Policy
Homework is assigned everyday Monday through Thursday. It is encouraged that students read on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays but not required. Every Friday, students are required to hand in their reading log to show they have completed their reading and math work for the week. Students who hand in their homework will receive one positive point on Class Dojo. Alternatively, students who do not hand in their homework will lose a point on Class Dojo. Everyone forgets homework sometimes, so if a students forgets to hand in his or her homework on Friday, it can be handed in on Monday for credit.
The reading log is collected every Friday!

Practice multiplication (or division for those who have mastered multiplication) facts for 20 minutes a week. You can do this practice on paper, on one of the websites listed below, or by playing a game. I would recommend breaking this time down into four five minute chunks or two ten minute chunks during the week. For students who have already mastered their multiplication and division facts, spend the 30 minutes exploring a math topic of interest on IXL. Not sure what to pick? You can find topics that IXL recommends based on the diagnostic assessment by clicking the "recommendations" tab at the bottom of the screen when you are in the IXL app. |
